Hello,

I would like to use a Bitspower thread exchanged adapter C92 to integrate an LQ6 connector with G3/8 thread into my G1/4 flow.

It is this one:  LQ6D47006RED
https://www.cpcworldwide.com/Portals/0/Downloadable-Content/TRM/Literature/Spec-Sheets/CPC-Everis-LQ6-Spec-Sheet.pdf

I have both parts here.

Unfortunately, the thread on the LQ6 is too long for the Bitspower C92 adapter.
What can I do about this?

Thank you very much.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Thank you for contacting Bitspower.
How long is the LQ6 G3/8" thread?
And what's the diameter?

Maybe you can add a spacer in the G3/8" thread.
Such as follows

BP-WTP-C43 thickness 2mm
or BP-WTP-C25 thickness 3.5mm.
The inner diameter of both rings is about 13 mm.
I’m not sure whether the inner ring is big enough or not.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Hi Andreas,

It sounds like the LQ6 connector's thread is too long for the Bitspower C92 adapter. A couple of options:

Check with Bitspower for a shorter-threaded adapter or alternative fitting.

Use a thread reducer or spacer to adjust the length.

If you're comfortable, consider carefully shortening the LQ6 thread (though this is a last resort).

Hope that helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Liliy,

thank you for your message!

These spacers would be a great color match and also have an O-ring.
Unfortunately, they their inner diameter is too small für G3/8 (16 mm).

Best regards

It’s a common issue with the LQ6—its G3/8 thread is longer than what the Bitspower C92 can accept. The easiest fix is to add a G3/8 spacer or a thicker O-ring so the fitting seals before bottoming out. If you want a cleaner solution, you can also use a deeper G3/8 → G1/4 adapter from another brand. No need to modify the LQ6 itself.

Thank you for your comment!
Could you point me in the right direction finding an adapter from another brand?
Maybe a "best practice" from the watercooling scene :)
Do you know if I could add (stack) another O-Ring to close the "gap"? Will it be still safe for leaks?
