Is the orientation of the pump important?

Question

I have the BPM-WTCR801 pump/reservoir combo unit.

I just installed it and am having issues with it.

I noticed that on all of the images or videos I find, including in the installation guide, the PWM Power Cable is on the bottom, but on mine it is on top. So it seems that the pump was installed in the factory upside-down, with the power cable coming out of the top.

Does the orientation of the pump matter? Would this change which ports are inlet and outlet?

Hello Retro,

It doesn't matter that the PWM Power Cable is on the top.
It won't affect the inlet and outlet.
There are two outlet ports in the middle of the reservoir--
One on the front and one on the side.
