Hi,

I ordered the

Bitspower CPU Block Summit ELX for AMD TRX40/TRX50 Platform with OLED

I don't currently have the LED controller, but want to verify that the o-LED is working. What voltage/signal do I need to connect to the D pin in order to turn on the display?

Dear Customer,

Thank you for connecting Bitspower.
Here is the datasheet for the sensor.
The input voltage is DC 5V~12V.

You can test the OLED with simple power. Bitspower lists the display input as DC 5–12V and under 20mA.

Connect +5–12V to the power pin, connect ground, and the screen should light up. The D pin is mainly for the RGB signal, so the OLED itself does not need a data line just to turn on.

If it does not light up with clean 5–12V power, the controller may be required for full function, but basic power should show something.

Hi! For the Bitspower CPU Block Summit ELX, the OLED display is usually controlled via the D pin using a standard digital signal compatible with the block’s built-in controller. Without the LED/controller connected, the display won’t turn on reliably on its own, you typically need the proper 5V signal from Bitspower’s controller to power the OLED. I’d recommend checking the product manual or reaching out to Bitspower support to avoid sending an incorrect voltage, as that could damage the display.

That Bitspower CPU Block Summit ELX for the AMD TRX40/TRX50 platform looks absolutely next-level. The built-in OLED display is such a clever touch, it’s not just about cooling performance, but also about making your build look premium and high-tech. If you’re running a high-end workstation or enthusiast build on TRX40/TRX50, this is definitely a block worth considering.
